About This Project
AgriDirect wanted to cut out middlemen and let farmers sell directly to restaurants, supermarkets, and food processors. Pilloweb built a Next.js marketplace with verified seller onboarding, MOQ (minimum order quantity) enforcement, integrated Flutterwave invoice financing so buyers could pay in instalments, and a logistics coordination layer that matched orders with third-party delivery partners.
The Challenge
Agricultural produce trading in Nigeria was entirely offline. Trust was a major barrier — buyers could not verify seller quality, and sellers had no payment security.
Our Solution
Escrow-backed transactions, verified seller badges with product quality certifications, and integrated invoice financing that pays sellers immediately while extending credit to buyers.
